He told BBC Surrey: "It gives me an opportunity for some game time.
"I've been coming off the bench, which has been hard to do. Hopefully I can get 90 minutes under my belt and score some goals."
He added: "I've done it at reserve level and I know I've got goals in me. It's just getting the opportunity to show people I can score.
"People have had nothing but good things to say about the style of play and I think the league position is lying a little bit."
Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon added: "I've been looking at getting Liam in for some time. He's strong, good in the air and holds the ball up well.
"Hopefully he'll give us a spark because we desperately need somebody to do that for us."
