However, the Hornets boss did admit that Watford were a little fortunate in leaving Carrow Road with all three points.
"To be honest I thought Norwich were the best team but we always play to get three points and that is what happened.
"We showed great resilience. We were under a lot of pressure towards the end but I always thought if we got one chance we could win it.
"This was an important game for us but it is just one game.
"There is still a chance we could get automatic promotion, never mind the play-offs."
