It has been revealed that long serving goalkeeper, Alec Chamberlain has been suffering from a stomach bug that kept him out of contention for a place amongst the substitutes at Molineux on Good Friday.

The illness forced Watford manager, Aidy Boothroyd to name Dominic Blizzard on the bench and it was thought that the Wycombe born midfielder, slowly recovering himself after missing almost the entire season through a viral illness, would have doned the goalkeeping gloves had regular stopper, Ben Foster been forced off during the match.

It is hoped that the 41-year-old Chamberlain, in his testimonial season, and a regular on the bench throughout the season, will be fit enough to return to the squad for the Easter Monday visit of Ipswich Town.
