Although current Newcastle United caretaker manager, Glen Roeder has insisted that Michael Chopra is part of his first team plans for the time being, rumours are circulating on Tyneside that the player may be able to leave the club of his birthplace, a situation that is sure to alert Golden Boys manager, Aidy Boothroyd.
Chopra, 22, created a tremendous impression during a loan spell at Vicarage Road three years ago, scoring five times in six appearances including four in the never to be forgotten 7-4 defeat of Burnley at Turf Moor.
However, should Watford confirm their interest in the former England Schoolboy International they are sure to face fierce competition, not least from Coca-Cola Championship promotion rivals Sheffield United and Leeds United.
