Watford deputy keeper Rene Gilmartin says that this season's team spirit under Malky Mackay at Vicarage Road is like nothing he has experienced before.The Hornets have defied their lack of financial clout this season to sit sixth in the Championship table.
And ex-Walsall player Gilmartin insists that their success is based on unity.
"It's like something I've never been involved with at international sides or Walsall, the togetherness keeps the club going," said the 25-year-old.
"The togetherness around this group from the staff all the way down to the youngest player it's great to see."
Irishman Gilmartin, who was capped by his country at Under-21 level, is yet to make his league debut for the club.
But, having sat on the bench as Scott Loach's understudy all season, he made his third Watford start on Saturday since switching from the Saddlers in the summer, helping Malky Mackay's side to a 4-1 FA Cup win over Hartlepool.

"You can see there's an attitude and a desire to win games of football here," he said. "And that comes down from the gaffer all the way through.
"It's not a club where you've got massive money, but you don't need massive money.
"You just need a desire to win and that's what we've got."
Teenage midfielder Pier Mingoia made a goalscoring debut against Hartlepool and, with his side 1-0 down at half-time, was delighted to help the Hornets through to the fourth round.
"It couldn't have been a better debut," said the 19-year-old. "At half-time, I was getting scared thinking it wouldn't be good if I make my debut and we lose.
"Luckily, I managed to score and, from then on, the team were fantastic.
"I just wanted to prove to the fans and the manager that I could hack it at this level."
