Hunt For Players Goes On

Watford manager, Aidy Boothroyd is being linked with a whole host of players as the January transfer window comes to a close at midnight this coming Wednesday.

Having already secured the services of Moses Ashikodi, Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson the Bradford born boss strengthened his relegation threatened squad still further on Friday with a £500, 000 capture of Sheffield United striker, Steve Kabba.

However, this may not be the end of the newcomers, and speculation is mounting that Boothroyd may return to Sheffield United to try and prise Northern International Keith Gillespie away from Bramall Lane, with the out of favour winger seen as a possible replacement for the now departed Ashley Young.

It is also believed the likeable 35-year-old manager may be tempted to offer Colchester United midfielder, Karl Duguid a first taste of Premiership football after the 28-year-old turned down a new contract at Layer Road, whilst further a field, Belgian striker Emile Mpenza, Dutch forward Cecile Lopes and Sierra Leone front man, Mohammed Kallon are all targets over possible moves to England.
