The former Watford manager, who was sacked by The Hornets earlier this year, has been appointed Reserve Team coach at Craven Cottage.
Lewington, who was once manager at Fulham, said:. "I am delighted to return to Fulham Football Club after an absence of 11 years.
"I have fond memories as a player and manager and have always felt welcomed by fans and staff.
"There is a great atmosphere and togetherness here and I'm looking forward to working with Chris Coleman and all of the backroom staff during this forthcoming season."
