New Look Reserve League

Last updated : 25 July 2006 By Gary Calder

The Barclays Premiership Reserve League South has taken on a new slim line look for the upcoming campaign with just ten sides competing in the Southern Section of the competition instead of last season's 14.

Coca-Cola Championship clubs are no longer eligible for the competition and with the Northern Section also decreasing in size it has necessitated Aston Villa's transfer over into the Southern Section to take their place alongside Arsenal, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Fulham, Portsmouth, Reading, reigning South champions Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and West Ham United.

You will be able to keep up to date with the progress of Gary Smith's Reserve side throughout the 2006/07 campaign by regularly logging onto the Golden Boys.
