Watford Football Club has this afternoon issued a statement urging all genuine fans of the Vicarage Road outfit to buy a ticket for Sunday's eagerly awaited Coca-Cola Championship Play-off Final winner takes-all showdown with Leeds United.
Following the success of Ticketmaster sales to Season Ticket holders, Members and Shareholders earlier in the week, tickets went on sale today to supporters on the club's database with a ticket buying history this season and although business has been brisk, there are still approximately 4, 500 tickets left from the Golden Boys original allocation.
Therefore in an extremely positive move Watford Chief Executive, Mark Ashton has thrown down the gauntlet to true fans of the club by putting these on general sale from 5pm this evening (Wednesday).
Speaking on the club's official site WatfordFC, the forward thinking Ashton explained,
“The number of people who have bought tickets today has been high – but I'd encourage anyone who hasn't got a ticket yet to get down to the ground as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
Potential purchasers are advised that only £44 or £32 priced tickets remain and prospective buyers should queue up at Gate 20.
The Vicarage Road Ticket Office will be open for business until 7pm tonight (Wednesday), and between 9am-7pm on Thursday and Friday.
No decision has been made yet as to whether the ticket office will open on Saturday.
