Premier League preview & predictions 2021/22: Gameweek 4

The first international break of the 2021/22 season is in the history books, meaning it's back to Premier League action for all 20 top-flight teams.

The weekend's drama should see Cristiano Ronaldo appear for Manchester United for the first time in 12 years, following his dramatic return from Juventus, while there should also be a host of other debuts up and down the country after a hectic end to the transfer window.

Here's your full weekend preview of where to watch every game, as well as those all important predictions.

Not one person in the country, regardless of their allegiance, would have predicted Arsenal to be facing Norwich without a point to their name after three Premier League games - and having failed to score a single goal.

But that's where Mikel Arteta and his side are, though fortunately they now have the chance to get off the mark against a Norwich side also pointless and bottom of the table.

Leicester's meetings with Manchester City are always eventful, and the outcome isn't always what you would expect it to be.

The Foxes ran riot in Manchester last year, winning 5-2 at the Etihad, but inevitably lost the reverse fixture at King Power Stadium. They did, however, win when it really mattered: in the FA Cup final and Community Shield.

It should be another good game here.

There's only one real talking point in this one; will Cristiano Ronaldo be handed a first (or second first?) Man Utd start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

If he is, watch out Newcastle - the Portuguese has great scoring record against the Magpies and will be desperate to steal the show.

Watford's return to Premier League life got off to a dream start, but victory on the opening day against Aston Villa has been tempered by two consecutive defeats.

Chelsea's 2021/22 campaign has started off strongly, winning the UEFA Super Cup against Villarreal while picking up seven points from a possible nine in the Premier League.

In the most shocking turn of the weekend there is only one game to entertain the masses on Sunday afternoon, but what a game it could be as Leeds host Liverpool at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are always entertaining, expansive and electrifying to watch, and the same can be said for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool when they are firing on all cylinders. Luckily for us, the Reds are in good form - so cue the most unexpected 0-0 draw...

Prediction: Leeds 0-0 Liverpool

Monday

Everton vs Burnley

When is kick off? Monday 13 September, 20:00 (BST)
Where is the match being played? Goodison Park
TV channel/live stream? Sky Sports (UK), fuboTV (US)
Referee? Andre Marriner
VAR? Kevin Friend

Gameweek four ends with an in-form Everton welcoming Burnley to Goodison Park for Monday night football.

Rafa Benitez's men have seven points and seven goals to their name after three impressive performances, but it has been the same old slow start for Sean Dyche's Clarets - they have just a solitary point in the bag so far.

The form book usually goes out of the window somewhere, though, and it could be here.

Prediction: Everton 0-1 Burnley
