Watford are to give a week's trial to 20-year-old Ipswich Town forward Dean McDonald.
The ex-Arsenal trainee has been told that his future lies away from Portman Road by Tractor Boys boss, Joe Royle and the Hornets have decided to take a look at the player who enjoyed a spell on loan at Coca-Cola League One club, Hartlepool United earlier in the season.
The Lambeth born front man has featured in 21 first team matches this term, 11 as substitute, scoring twice, for the Pool against Bournemouth in December 2005, and in Ipswich Town's 2-1 success at Crewe Alexandra in February.
