Watford v Liverpool

Watford are boosted ahead of their Premiership clash against Liverpool with the news that captain, Gavin Mahon is fit to lead the side after missing last weekend's FA Cup victory over Stockport County.

Tamas Priskin, who also missed the win over the Hatters through suspension, is available as are new signings from Rotherham United, Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson both of whom may start on the bench.

On the downside, powerful centre half Dan Shittu is rated as no more than 50/50 to recover from an ankle injury that forced him off at Fulham on New Year's Day.

Liverpool are likely to name a much stronger starting eleven than the one that lost to Arsenal in midweek, but they must make do without Luis Garcia who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Mark Gonzalez and Steven Warnock also picked up knocks against the Gunners on Tuesday and join Mohamed Sissoka, Bolo Zenden and Harry Kewell on the sidelines.
