Young's Landmark Goal

When Ashley Young netted a last gasp equaliser for Watford in last Monday's thrilling 3-3 draw with Fulham it had added significance.
Not only was it further evidence, if any was needed, of the England Under 21 striker's burgeoning talent, it happened to be the 100th competitive goal Watford had scored since the arrival of dynamic manager, Aidy Boothroyd 68 games ago.
Since joining the Vicarage Road outfit towards the end of March 2005 the Bradford born boss has totally transformed the fortunes of this always friendly Hertfordshire club, culminating in them gaining promotion to the Barclays Premiership after a scintillating three goal display against Leeds United at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium last May.
Famed for positive thinking Boothroyd has produced an entertaining attack minded team throughout his tenure as a statistic of 1.47 goals per game illustrates perfectly.
For the record, Dominic Blizzard bagged the opening goal of the current manager's reign, a consolation in a 1-3 reversal against Burnley on April 2 2005.
