The Golden Boys boss remained in ever optimistic mood when interviewed soon after his side had moved off the bottom of the table with a meritorious goalless draw with Martin O'Neill's rejuvenated Aston Villa on Saturday evening.
Despite dominating for much of the second half, his side drew another blank, although this statistic is not unduly worrying the dynamic Boothroyd.
"I always say that if you get the performances right, the results will follow and I really think we're going to turn someone over soon", Boothroyd said.
"In the second half, I thought there was only one team in it for long periods, but we didn't convert our chances.
"But we're making them and it's only a matter of time before we start winning, so no complaints with the result.
Boothroyd continued,
"It's a long-term process at this club, the players come here to develop."
