"Every week we give our all and sometimes we are naive but that reflects the club and the manager but we like this division. We like it in the Premiership and want to stay here”, explained the Bradford born boss.

"We started well but if you are not on guard for the full 90 minutes you get punished and that's what happened to us.

We've got to take the learning from every game even when we get beaten like today. There are times when you have to be reflective. We won't sulk. If our fans can keep singing along then we'll bounce back."

The Watford supremo was also unstinting in his praise of Blues hat-trick hero, Drogba.

"Didier Drogba is a fantastic player and a true professional. What I mean by that is he works his socks off from the very first minute to the last kick and he put our lads under enormous pressure today. That's a true professional."
