Whilst Watford fans joyously contemplated a trip to the Millennium Stadium on May 21 after their team's magnificent three goal Coca-Cola Championship Play-off Semi-Final success against Crystal Palace on Saturday manager, Aidy Boothroyd remained confident but proffered a word or two of caution when interviewed soon afterwards.

“Anything is possible for the second leg.

A year ago I was picking up bibs and balls for Kevin Blackwell, now I'm fortunate enough to work with this fantastic group of people so I would never, ever take anything for granted.

“Palace have a top striker who could be going to the World Cup so we know it's only half time and we'll give Crystal Palace the respect they deserve and look to win the game. We can't play any other way.”
