Manager, Aidy Boothroyd was in typically phlegmatic mood when interviewed soon after a goalless draw with Hull City had guaranteed a play-off date with Iain Dowie's Crystal Palace.
"Crystal Palace are definitely the favourites, it will be a very difficult match.
They have a top manager and a big, talented squad. They have beaten us twice this season, and they have experience of the play-offs."
Boothroyd then quipped,
"We might as well not turn up! But joking aside, I'm not too worried about our results against them earlier in the season, because we have improved since then.
Our play-off rivals Palace, Preston and Leeds all have to carry expectations we don't have. We are spoiling the party a bit by reaching the play-offs."
Crystal Palace was the only team to complete the league double over the Golden Boys during the regular season, following a contraversial 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road on New Year's Eve with a rather fortuitous 3-1 Selhurst Park success at the end of March.
