Speaking soon after watching his side grind out their fifth goalless draw of the Premiership season the Bradford born boss quipped,
"I thought it was a fair result in the end.
Both teams worked very, very hard and neither could break each other down. It's not an advert for scoring goals is it? Every time we play we have a goalless draw!
When I look at where we're at and where they're at, and look at our statistics, that's six clean sheets we've had now in the Premiership and we've drawn half of our games, whereas Reading have won more than we have, yet the difference is not that great as today's result and performance will show.
I go to win every game, the team go to win every game, but we need to stay focussed on ourselves and maintain some very good performances as far as we go defensively. We're in their fighting and we'll keep in there fighting until there's nothing left to give any more."
Boothroyd also had special praise for the fans who supported the team throughout, and cheered his name for fully ten minutes in the second half.
"The fans were brilliant again and the club is on the up, and I won't let anybody be negative. We'll keep on climbing.
It might go to the very last game of the season, where we're fighting for a European place, and that's what we'll do. We'll keep going because that's what we do. There's a feeling around this place, the fans took up the challenge from me and were brilliant again.
Things will drop, it's the law of averages, and we will make sure we start winning some games."
