Aidy's View: Wigan Athletic (a)

A disappointing opening stanza had seen Watford trailing to a Henri Camera, but a greatly improved second half saw parity restored thanks to a stunning Hameur Bouazza free-kick.

"The first half was very very average from our point of view; in fact I would say it was unacceptable", said Boothroyd.

"At least in the second half we showed what we are all about, and it's not inconceivable that we could have come away with all three points.

Obviously, we've got a goal today which is a positive. It took a restart for us to do that which is always something we work on but the first half was not acceptable for any of us.

I think that Wigan expected a physical game but in the first half we weren't a team, that changed after half time, we looked more up for it."
