Watford Res 0 Reading Res 3

A youthful Second-String crashed to a disappointing home defeat to Reading at a cold Boreham Wood FC this evening.

After holding their more experienced visitors to a goalless first half during which Liam Henderson had tested Adam Federici in the Reading goal, Watford fell behind soon after the interval, the Royals' Simon Cox putting the finishing touches to a fine run and cross by Seol Ki-Hyeon.

The Golden Boys battled hard to get back into the contest as the temperature dropped still further, and Henderson did have an excellent opportunity to restore parity, but it was Reading who doubled their advantage just after the midway point of the half, Viktor IIaguson slotting home following a neat move orchestrated by John Oster.

The visitors sealed their victory in injury time when a speculative free-kick by American, Bobby Convey eluded everyone including Scott Loach in the Watford goal.
